Chris Plesko just put up an excellent report from his Old Pueblo race. Learning is the hard part. Well done Chris, I admire your grit and honesty, and look forward to seeing ya in a month.
Got out and “just rode” for 90 minutes this afternoon, pushing a bit on the hills to break things in for upcoming training. Julie just rocks, something I should remember everytime I get bored and want to mess with components. The new Blackspire ring god is fantastic, I went out of my way to find some good granite rocks towards the end of the ride, and can attest that it takes quite a lot of work to dent that thing. Slides with minimal resistance, and has a cool laser etched beaver.
Mountain biking is cool.
Breaking news:
Results are up for both SSAZ and the Red Hot. For the former I cracked the top-20, with which I’m pleased. For the later, I cracked the top 80! Yeah! Of note, I was almost the youngest Red Hot runner, and one of a handful under 30. A couple folks were out for over nine hours, now THAT is full value! Also of note, Dejay actually managed to spell my last name right. Pizza delivery guys and DMV employees have been having fun with that for decades now.
