Spring Bike Camp

Steve’s getting old!

In honor, a road trip is called for. (I don’t have the time off officially approved, but on the tiny chance they give me shit I’ll just threaten to quit. The joys of being indispensible.) I believe Steve’s arriving in St. George on April 23rd (Administrative Professional’s Day). I intend to show up on Saturday the 26th, which has been set aside for a Little Creek baking extravaganza. Have to check out the new stuff. White Rim on May 3rd, and as much riding as can be done in the 6 days in between. Snow remaining will dictate this to a certain extent, but Moab and Fruita will be included, Thunder Mountain I would imagine, and perhaps some unknown stuff.

Like this.

Or this. I’m especially interested in the Grand View Hiking and Equestrain trail. Other sources confirm this is bike legal, if not bike suitable. Only one way to find out.

Always wanted to do this too, but snow will likely make in un-doable that early.

This would be cool, though.

Point being, have fun and come home dead and ready for a two-week KTR taper. As Steve says: “One of those vacations where you need to go back to work to rest up.”

You can come, but only if you don’t suck. If you do suck and come anyway Steve’s gonna beat me.

  1. Well then – maybe I should come… as you certainly could use to get beat up.

  2. Only fun people need apply. If you act like too much of an a-hole there are lots of places you could be “bumped” while passing that would result in a 100+ foot fall. You have been warned.I started a White Rim page on my blog.Interesting that you have been looking at the Grandview trail. I have too. Depending on snow, weather etc we may have to stay an extra day.
