Moab!

Is never a dissapointment.

Even when you DNF with a bum right knee (the same, fucking, knee).

Fred kicked ass, ran the full meal deal in 7:08 with minimal training. Kyle Skaggs and Tony Krupicka smoked a new course record of 4:03. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) A good time was had on a gorgeous day.

Sunday we rode. I demo’d a 575, and have new thoughts on bikes.

Today we hung out, hiked, and drove home.

More tomorrow.

Chad, you are THE MAN!!!!! Yeah!

  1. DNF? I like how they spelled your name… David Chenait I am not sure if my knees could make it either. I am gitty to hear more stories from you and Fred. Speaking of Fred, when is he going to update that anit-blog of his?

  2. bummer about the knee. glad you were able to still have a fun weekend. doesn’t appear as though tony and kyle are going to slow down anytime soon.

  3. Krupicka ran the course in road racing flats, then spent a few hours wandering around the chunky gravel of the Poison Spider parking lot; without shoes. From his blog writeup it sounds like those two could’ve gone a good bit faster, too.Ill.This may well be a catalyst for Fred to start writing. May. I think the results you saw were last year.

  4. Name changed to protect the ?Bummer. Knee problems are no fun. Had to give up running 15 years ago. Biking is much better.Any insights on the bike thoughts?

  5. bummer!Little wheels?!?!?Man sounds like a life altering weekend =)

  6. Your knees say you are a biker….. Doncha just hate it when you hear that you are something other than what you wanna be?Fuck the knees and ride a singlespeed. That will teach ’em.(sorry to hear amigo….you one hellofan athlete though!)
