Zipped over after work to facilitate some MTBR Arizona Spring Fling promotion, and make sure the trails were still there.

New stuff to me, most, that will be featured on the Sedona BFL. It confirms my suspicion that it’ll be a true mother of a race. I got 20.8 miles and something like 3400′ of climbing in three hours, and almost all of that climbing was short grunts with lots of ledges and waterbars. The red section, above, in the middle of the ride is particularly relentless.
And high, high quality riding.
It was a pretty nice afternoon. Hot too, for someone just emerging from winter.
The new bars and brakes are eating this sort of thing alive. Being able to slide back, get low, and brake with one gentle finger confirms the lasting value of the experiment. Suspension and big wheels help too.
