Preaching to the choir

A more systematic effort to train drivers to ignore road conditions can hardly be imagined. By training drivers to drive according to the signs rather than their judgment in great conditions, the American system also subtly encourages them to rely on the signs rather than judgment in poor conditions, when merely following the signs would be dangerous.

Amen!

  2. What? Blue?!Too many diesel fumes for you.

  3. Too true, I got a camera ticket in PV (first ticket in probably 15 years) for “speeding” in no traffic in perfect conditions. If I had watched the signs, I would have avoided the camera and ticket, but I was too busy watching where I was going.

  4. Bravo!Because of this article, I counted something like ten signs and warning lights in a 1/4 mile section of curving road near my house – because I’m too stupid to slow down for curves. The gov’t, saving us from ourselves and making money doing it.Ed
