Sheep Mountain and ice cream

It was hot in Montana today. Arizona hot.

Better get up there.

Sheep Mountain is a good ride.

Trails only get better as they get up.

The beasts on the summit.

After descending to civilization, further aid was needed.

This would be Green Tea and Mexican Chocolate.

Last night was Cardamom and Coconut. Night before, Huckleberry and El Salvador Coffee. Cardamom and Coffee tie for first thus far.

Peace, before the snake came swimming along and scared me.

Details:
Sheep is ~25 miles, and shit tons of climbing, virtually all on tough singletrack. Fall line grunts up rooty skinny above 6k. The first 8 miles in 3 hours. Rowdy tech above 7k. Rainforest groove and root garden descending. I had a flat (no Stans, duh!) and the retention clip of my front brake pads warp at the same time. More Stans and new brake pads needed. Bombing down the 8 miles of Rattlesnake Road (in 28 minutes) my left pedal unscrewed itself?! We were just shy of 5 hours parking lot to parking lot. It’s a classic that would hold up well against any ride I’ve ever done. Gotta go for the double dip! Ice cream is Big Dipper, locally made and served. Gawd it’s good.
