Beer Hunting

For Ariel and Phillip’s wedding.

Big Sky tasting room.  Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout, Belgian Trippel (the best of its type I’ve had).

The Good Food Store.
The quarry.

Bayern Oktoberfest (x2), Pipeline Porter, Salmon Fly Honey Rye, Jubelale, Inversion IPA, Slow Elk, Trippel.
So, expert readers, what are we missing (need 3 more six packs)?
Please keep in mind that Kettlehouse is the 15 year old pimpled punk of Missoula beers, with plaid boxers hanging out.  KH can go suck it.

  1. Summit Pale AleFat TireLake Superior Kayak KolschProbably not available west of MN. accept of course for the Fat Tire.

  2. We vetoed anything else by Deschutes, and New Belgian is a little too, common. (Don’t get me wrong, 1554 remains a favorite.)I’ve never found a Pale Ale I really liked. Also funny, Bayerns summer offerings I found good, but uninspired. The Oktoberfest is totally brilliant. My corner of the beer world is dark, bright ales.
