After a day spent reading, cleaning, and in the library researching, that is what was needed this afternoon.
Autumn is in full riot up in Rattlesnake Creek, though the larches confounded my efforts to capture the scene.

I purposively headed out late enough to guarantee finishing in the dark. The Switchback 3 has only been pulling 0600 yoga commuting duty until today. I ran into Alden (or Thursday Night Ride fame) coming down the east side of Walman as I was cranking up. We were both surprised to see someone else out at dusk. I blasted down the west side as dark gathered, and had waaaay too much fun bombing 8-12″ wide track snaking through waist high grass in Spring Gulch at 20+ mph. Encountered (almost ran over) two ladies picking their way down with Tikka-type lamps. On purpose they said, and declined my offer to light the way home. Good lights rule. I caught Alden before the parking area, continued on, and took the ped bridge back over the train tracks, which has become my new favorite route north out of town.It was nice.
I’m also selling my Titec H-bar, is anyone is interested.
