Bedrock & Paradox

I dream of a hard and brutal mysticism in which the naked self merges with a non-human world and yet somehow survives still intact, individual, separate. Paradox and bedrock.

New toy

MSR E-Wing. Had to use the REI dividend and discount while it lasted.



Should be an ideal addition to the emergency bivy for all but certain bad weather trips.

    Yes, but how do those things keep you dry? I’ve never been in a bad weather situation where rain actually comes straight down from the sky. All kinds of sideways and up from the ground is usually how I soak in my precip.

    I reckon it can be rigged such that it’ll allow you to stick head out of bivy and stay dry. If were camping in Juneau (or the Olympics, or Smokies during winter, etc) I’d bring a tent.
