Of Utah stuff. Time to march forward into the maw of the semester with both eyes open and firmly fixed.
Slot of Shimrock. Best of the worst, as it seem impossible most days to do anything approaching an accurate photographic evocation of such a place.
I also completed my trekking pole project. Now the BD poles can stay ski poles, and I can avoid bar tapping the handle for summer use. These are cut down skate ski poles from the ski swap last fall, with Gossamer Gear cork grips (which are fantastic in both shape and material). Grips fit on the cut down poles perfectly, with no attachment devices needed beyond a good whack against the basement floor. Tips ground down to symmetry with a dremel and bastard file. 6 oz per pole almost exactly, $30 total outlay for both.
Backtowork..
