Home

I don’t have much right now. We were up until 0100 last night helping Judy and Will make cookies (crazy buggers), and I spent most of today cleaning/sorting/packing/trashing all the stuff I had left at my parents. It’s all going to Montana or the landfill now.

We stopped at Pompey’s Pillar National Monument in eastern Montana on Sunday. A very humble monument, it exists because of one name carved in the rock:

It holds an odd position next to all the explanatory and triumphal memorials nearby. Note the motion sensor/alarm and camera.
We also spent some time in Theodore Roosevelt National Park on Monday. Always worthwhile. We’re making a return visit in late September, the Maah Daah Hey in a day project will happen this year.

The Wonderland trail, however, will not. Not enough time to get in proper condition before school starts. I will do one more big backpack, and have a few options in the works.
Life is full these days.
