I remember this catalogue, and the excerpt from Night Driving in it. Entertaining weekend reading.
Hitting Bryce on a powder day is certainly a worthy ambition, too.
I dream of a hard and brutal mysticism in which the naked self merges with a non-human world and yet somehow survives still intact, individual, separate. Paradox and bedrock.

Would be a beautiful descent, especially if you have a comped quiver so you don't have to worry about shredding the base of expensive skis. Can't imagine there is much depth to those runs even on good years. Reminds me of Ariel and my talk with the ranger at Toroweap who had done the first published descent of Mt Trumble. Not too often you have a skiable base for a summit to valley descent of that peak.
Rock skis!
