Food Throwdown #2

A little late on this one, and no pictures as I ate it already.

Thai-ish Steamed Garden Vegetables w/ rice
-Make yoself some basmati or jasmine rice. Bonus points for substituting orange juice for water.
-Add a few shakes of fish sauce, a few more of soy sauce, lots of Sriracha, a bit of peanut or sesame oil, and the zest and juice from one orange to a medium saucepan. Add some water, mix, and heat.
-Julienne some vegetables. Recommended: onions, bell peppers, carrots, jalapenos, broccoli.
-When water boils, add vegetables in the correct order (onions and carrots first, etc), steam/boil uncovered, adding water so that the done-ness of the veggies and the near disappearance of the liquid occur simultaneously. At the last second, add a whole bundle each of roughly chopped basil and cilantro, turn a few times to coat and whither.
-Put rice in bowl, put veggies and a bit of sauce over top.
-Eat.
