Dan Ransom (auteur of the day) was just getting into canyoneering in Utah as I was getting out (in a serious way). Steve Ramras (or RAM, the bearded guy in the red shirt) has first hand knowledge of technical canyons on the Colorado Plateau that is only equaled by a very few. Ram sent me this link last night

Of all the stellar things I’ve seen on Vimeo, this one impresses me the most. And the editing and filming skill is the least of it. Getting any sort of photography in such a wet, sandy, hectic environment is difficult enough. The bane of cameras is canyons is the light, there is almost always too much much or too little. Cricket looks pretty open, which on the Fold makes sense. Nonetheless, my hat is off to Dan.
