2-9 years old today.

In Arizona I had to birthdays in a row on a weekend. Doing RATS two years ago was an ideal birthday celebration.

This morning, I woke up, got a vegan pumpkin muffin and a raspberry-cream cheese croissant at Bernice’s, then drove up to Lolo Pass and went looking for soft snow. And I found 2″ overnight, and boot-top fluff still undisturbed in shaded, sheltered, north facing locations. One of the best days of skiing yet this winter, especially insofar as pure turn quality is concerned.

I did notice that my reliable Houdini jacket is starting to show it’s age. Great gear.
The rest of the day will be spent going to supervision, doing a bit of climbing, and then three hours of class. That is just how it goes.
