Arrrrrg!

This is the first image that came up, googling the above.

M and I joined the Y yesterday evening, so this morning I thought it wise to start the habit and wake up a bit before five and head over to do some working out. Arg indeed.

Not so much from waking up early, these days I find it easy to wake up to the light. At 0515 you can even wear a sweater in the truck, a welcome change of pace from consistent low 90’s. I warmed up on a stationary bike, watching wattage with interest. Then poked around the weight room, doing the exercises I remember from physical therapy two years ago. I’ll need to get more organized in this respect.

Any suggestions for knee stabalization and core building, or just good dynamic stuff in general, are welcome.

M and I may even attend some spin classes. The disco light setup looks, interesting.

Possible Flag trip with Yuri’s crew tomorrow. The midday heat engenders serious lethargy on my part, and once it takes hold is very hard to overcome. Gotta fight.

  1. Oooooh, core work my favorite form of torture for gaining an edge on the bike. Just a few out of the toolbox to mention. Planks, crunches (of course), pull-ups, and fit ball work including push-ups; hands on one ball, feet/ankles on the other. I also use dumbbells while kneeling on the fit ball – presses, upright rows, etc. Don’t forget back extensions, supermans, etc.Have fun :-)Ed

  2. What on earth is that Pink thing??? I like that it has an earing… but what is it…you should mention that the spin classes we might attend are interval spin classes so I can start my training for the GDR…

  3. Damn Ed, I thought you were an old-school, hairy legged, SSin’, there is no such as training kinda guy.Now I know why you’re fast, eh?

  4. I’d like to note the previous post was made by my loving husband, the author of this blog-I do not speak in such convoluted and incomprehensible sentence structure.

  5. Spin classes are great, I sure with the disco motiff would vanish though…I love my Core Endurance workouts. Same bok DH most likley pointed you toward.
