Thinking of snow

Located at 9300 feet above sea level, our 100 watt LP signal
only reaches the 500 or so residents of our isolated mountain town.

Three mountain passes surround Silverton and sometimes act as blockades
due to extreme snow levels and avalanche danger. We are literally
the smallest radio market in the United States.

KSJC subsists on donations from the people that consider themselves
part of our very special community. So come check us out and
consider becoming a supporting member of this very special community institution.

Forward-looking nostalgia being both good and dangerous.

The mere fact that M has said that she would move to the coldest town in CO is cause for celebration and action.


Perhaps. We may just end up in Denver so I can go here.

    I’d choose Denver :) You can go play in all the snow you want without all the compromises of a tiny town. Not to mention you’d have more bikers to ride with and you could con me into running again.

    yeah chris, i agree with M. it’s all about the small town… but it seems like if you must live in a city Denver might be as good as any.dave, if you do move to silverton i’ll be hoping to see you there for my hardrock aclimatization sometime in june or july of 2009 :)
