From the past


Found while I was trying to remember my Summit Post.com password from many years ago. Shot by my old friend Kris Hampton, on the 11d Mystery Blocks in Vedauwoo, WY. All the way back in the summer of 2000, the beginning og the peak of my climbing career, back when 11a was easy.

I still have that shirt, and chalk bag. I can’t remember my password, however, and the account is attached to a college email that went out of use years ago.

But I did get the photo. I think I look much the same as I did when I was 19. Quads a bit bigger, shoulders a bit smaller, hands more gnarled. Haircut the same.

    Nice shot. In 2000 I was doing a different sport as well, playing Lacrosse at BYU. Bike racing was a distant thought at the time…
