AZSF ’08

Friday (until the GPS got turned off when I went otb ~5 miles from the end):

Strong contender for best ride of the year thus far. Strong group, burly, brilliant riding. National, baby. And yeah, we averaged around 11-13 mph up the road (miles 14-18). Awesome party after. What a great park. What great people.

Saturday’s ride (until the GPS got stuffed far enough down in the pack to loose reception during the snack stop):

Topofusion is not totally mine, yet.

Bike n’ Bean was awesome and generous with us, though the wind and moderate temps kept us from fording the creek. We had the crew, all 7, over last night, which was lovely.

Today we rode most of BCT, and I was tired. Then we came home.

I crashed a lot in the last three days. And then it snowed.

That’s all I got.

  1. Why are you crashing so much? Hope the new set-up is not hosing you.

  2. On the contrary. Most of the bad crashes this weekend were from trying stuff I wouldn’t have thought of riding a few months ago, to say nothing of last year. A few more were stupid, get stacked behind someone and fall over falls. The Jones bars rule going down, and up.

  3. You’re lucky, you seem to say this every weekend that you ride:”Strong contender for best ride of the year thus far.”Two weeks…Ed

  4. M and D– thanks again!
