AZ Gravel Grinding

When I got home from work I took a short nap, and eventually roused myself and went out for a ride.

Some singletrack exploring, lots of road riding. Legs are most certainly not back at 100%. (What’s taking so long?!)

Little Trans Iowa action. Note golf course.

15 minutes from home, and 1:45 into the ride, I passed our local pizza joint. 5 minutes later I smelled some folks grilling burgers. That got me movin’.

Still the wild west, even 1 mile from our house.

It’s been quite a week. The temptation exists to self-generate an epic of some kind this weekend, but the more wise option will likely be hanging out, some reasonable length rides, and maybe a movie. I can’t do it all.

Addendum:
Max took these on Sunday, and for obvious reasons I’m glad that he did.

Puerile, certainly, but you gotta call a spade a spade. And damn was it fun, farting and all.

Those are some sexy legs, those are. What’s wrong with those Tucson girls, anyway? Maybe when Chad’s at work, in addition to selling all his bikes and buying him one, good mountain bike, Max and I can turn all his pants into manpries to further enhance his trolling.

We end with the quotation of the week (or the month, or year, really); Ed, towards the end of dinner Friday night:
“That’s Chad Brown?!”

You really did have to be there.

  1. How about that wind?

  2. Yeah. I was very glad I picked a route that headed back west, and uphill, at the end. Resistance training.

  3. You can imagine how enchanted I was to come home from work to find the computer background was changed to a very large version of that last photo…I just keep telling myself those “special” qualities are why I keep him around…

  4. no i think it was “dude thats chad brown”

  5. hahahh shutup! I think I am going to change my name to “The Rider formerly known as Chad Brown” so I can get less flak for last weekend. That is a good pic for the desktop, M, did you change it? As for this week, what a waste. I was sick, now I have allergies, and I think that might turn into some uncontrollable gas…. oh wait, someone already did that last week. Hmmm.April needs to be 8 weeks long so we can fit more stuff in it….

  6. TRFKAChad!!!!!(who’s making stickers?)
