Small Victories

The question about my lethargy this week: is it related to fatigue, or laziness?

Luckily this afternoon I decided it was the former, and thus went for a ride. 305, time trial. Too bad I forgot to actually turn on my chrono, or I’d be able to be more exact. My best guess: 35-6 minutes. Gate (north side) to road. I’m pretty damn happy with that.

Matt, it’s the singletrack we rode before “the hand.” It took us a little over an hour.

And last but not least, Max and Walt asking of TRFKAChad: “Dude, what the fuck are you doing?”

    35 minutes is truly moving along.I’ll be interested in what you post up trialing the Whiskey as I think 305 is a bit of a sprint for you (and you’re no sprinter).What’s up with the puny wheels on Chad’s bike?

    They are cheaper than their bigger, better predecessor….. For the record, I did eventually make it up that grand-canyon-like chasm that is pictured. Two words. damn allergies.

    I am indeed not a sprinter. And we’ve been trying to get Chad a bike worthy of his skills for a while now. That said, it’s definitely a statement. No doubt: cheapest by to finish the Rim Ride, probably by a 2:1 margin.I ought to say that yesterday I set out with the only goal being to clean the whole thing, and only after 5 minutes decided I might as well go as fast as I could. I did clean it all, too, which for me (on a SS) is still a big source of gratification. The best part was at the far end; taking off my helmet and sitting under a tree for 5 minutes listening to the wind. I love that area.Off for a Whiskey 50 ride soon….
