School in effect

That is what it’s been, and it is likely to stay that way.  More writing for school, less desire to write here.  Not much going on (besides school) anyway.
I did make a vest this afternoon/evening:

A the Minima Vest kit from Thru-hiker.com, with plain jane 1.1 oz nylon shell, 3 oz Primaloft insulation, and a custom 12″ zip pullover style designed by me.  Less than 5 oz finished.

I customized the size to make it very trim fitting.  The kit template provided a nice high collar and long, drop tail.  One more piece with winter on the way.  Plans for a light (sub 12 oz) quilt/top bag for next sumer, and perhaps a jacket if the quiver dictates.
It was a very fun project.  The seam ripper only came out once, and for only about 1 cm of stitching. A record for me, even on a project of substantially lesser complexity.
Bed time, almost.
