The above was not monkeyed with in any way.

Wolves have big feet. Big. The Lamar Valley is a wonderful place.

Panorama of a certain superlative camp site. M doing well with the camera’s features.
I dream of a hard and brutal mysticism in which the naked self merges with a non-human world and yet somehow survives still intact, individual, separate. Paradox and bedrock.

Did you keep the antler?Ed
Nope. It was heavy, and taking stuff out of a NP is illegal.
When I was growing up in Roundup MT I watched people being pulled into the back of pickups, shaved bald, and then beaten to a pulp. I said to myself, “that person has it all, they posses powers that others are afraid of. They know they are hated but still exist in the face of the cruel ones”.One reason that when I moved back to my homeland of Montana I choose Missoula is that they don’t treat people like that here.Funny they call it Big Sky when most minds are narrow. Missoula is the true Big Sky … open minds.
Can’t argue with that, and a good point. I meant literally big sky; too many clouds around here.
Beyond the silly pun…Is that little trench in the rock, maybe we will call it a “canyon”, sustained?
Phillip, the “little trench” sustains itself right over a hundred foot waterfall, approximately two feet farther around the bend… and then opens into a big flat valley. Also, the photo was taken from a major road, Dave says, if you’ve been to Yellowstone, you’re probably seen it. But everything looks more fun in the snow :)
