For future consideration (B).
-James Lutz 1992 trip. Day by day beta. Vague yet specific
–Article on Doug Robinson, who skied the JMT in 1970. Some nifty photos, but little hard beta. Doug’s book A Night on the Ground, A Day in the Open is worth seeking out. It has the complete account of their trip, and other good stuff besides.
-Bob’s Sierra touring beta. Haven’t gotten into it yet. The High Route-in-a-day account begins to beg the question of what gear?
-Tele talk Tahoe ski circumnav TR. Not directly germane, but cool and another answer to the gear question. I do think not stopping can be a bit pointlessly masochistic.
-Chris Simmons’ Sierra ski beta. Some useful TRs near the bottom.
That’s all for now. Will be updated as needed. Gotta be more JMT ski beta out there.
