Perfection

How many of you out there fret and obsess about having things in ideal condition?  I know I do.
But the perfect bike is the bike you can ride today, just like that Path jersey says.
I gots some new bikes toys!

Nashbar front rack.  A very cool design.  Cheap welding and an advertised limit of 15 lbs are a question, but for 7 bucks we’ll see how it works out for summer jaunts.

X9 shortie derailleur.  Finally getting rid of that horrid old XTR trigger shifter I’ve been using for the last year.  It did need some modification for use with only six cogs.  Comparatively minimal swearing was involved.
A little dremel grinding to keep a longer low limit screw from also acting as a high, and voila.
In business.
