Bedrock & Paradox

I dream of a hard and brutal mysticism in which the naked self merges with a non-human world and yet somehow survives still intact, individual, separate. Paradox and bedrock.

Things I’ve seen lately

Got in a quick overnight backpack at Crater of the Moon National Monument on the way down to SLC.  T-storms moving through the area made it a gorgeous evening.  A very cool place, worthy of return visits.  And in very good shape from a wet spring.



NYC.  Not much else to say.  Museums, fantastic food, The Lion King on Broadway, fantastic.




We visited one of my mom’s old grad school haunts near Albany on our way north.  Tomorrow, the ‘dacks.

    Next time you are within 30 minutes of me (while heading to Craters) drop me a line… trails are mud flows right now anyway, but there is some great hiking to be had.

    My mom found Hotel Chelsea on the net and thought it sounded neat. Not the Best Western, certainly.Blair, will do, later this summer. The backpack was a last minute addition. I want to ride the alpine stuff near Stanley.
