I can’t count

Though it is only a problem in certain circumstances. Doing intervals, for instance, I have a helluva time recalling how many I’ve done. 1, 2, and 3 are usually pretty solid. Distinguishing 4 from 5 (or 6) gets dicey, and the foundation beyond is questionable. Not really of the most importance, but I’m looking into a little rollodexesque thing to put on the bars.

  1. Heh, i've had that issue too. Usually I come up with some way to keep track but it shouldn't be so hard should it?

  2. I almost ran into a dog on the gravel rail-trail this afternoon, so I suppose counting is the least of my issues.

  3. Intervals make one so anaerobic that all meaningful thought ceases. It is bad to have both body and brain anaerobic simultaneously.

  4. PS: I am starting to dislike dogs on trails more than horses by quite a bit.

  5. ooooo… unfortunately, i can relate all too well.i have absolutely no adivce.ohwait. yes i do: upon finishing one interval, say out LOUD: ONE! then upon finishing the second, say out LOUD, TWO!! then upon finishing the third, say out LOUD, THREEEEEE!!! keep counting the finishes out LOUD. the auditory imprint seems to work for me sometimes.except when it's warm and when i'm on actual singletrack. then … it doesn't work. i'm usually having too much fun to pay attention to much of anything but Bliss. Even intervalBliss (ohmygawd i just typed that).;-)jj
