I found this by wandering from the likes of one person whose work I like to another, and another. A surprisingly focused and efficient tool.
Phenomenal, I think. My beard is at about all-time length right now, and I go back and forth with cutting it daily. It’s finally acting like winter again here, with clear skis and morning temps in the low teens. Enjoy it while it lasts, and while the beard insulates.
I’ll almost certainly trim the fuzz off by the end of next month.
Things should stay quiet here for a while longer. I’ve set myself quite a task, defending my portfolio (thesis, in essence) on March 24th, then riding my bike for a while on the 27th. Two different efforts that require sustained dedication, and both are going pretty well. I’ve got the bones of all the portfolio aspects laid out, and most of them well fleshed. My legs are starting to feel strong after a solid two week block of interval training. Little bricks build big walls.
In other news, I found my next shoe, once our local shop gets a pair of 11.5s in. After digging so deep to keep up with Sawchuk back in October, I’ve had this nagging thought of getting back into running. Dealing with knee issues again is a repugnant thought, but the benefits of raising my lactate threshold w/r/t foot motion are undeniable. We’ll see how it goes. More on the shoes later.
In more other news, the Big Sky Documentary Film fest is over. Saw the best movie of the lot late last night. Full rundown to come, eventually.
And in yet more news, be sure to congratulate Chris and Marni (that snarky little devil). Now Chris has one more reason to not fall in Finger Lake. Without a doubt, the worst thing about living in Missoula (even moreso than the inversions and slush!) has been seeing many good people so infrequently.
If all goes accordingly I’ll have LOTS to celebrate around 6pm on the 27th of next month. Which is how I planned it.
