I gave up on photos after breakfast.
Breakfast at Springdale Farm
-Blackberries and peaches on frozen yogurt
-Strawberry tart
-Toasted croissant with egg souffle, ham, and hollandaise sauce
Lunch at the New York Wine and Culinary Center
-Ommegang Hennepin
-Oysters
-Gazpacho with avocado creme fraiche
Dinner at Warfields (Clifton Springs)
-Unibroue La Fin du Monde (!)
-Oysters with horseradish-lemon sauce
-Apple and Endive salad (with candied pecans, mixed greens, and a cider vinaigrette)
-Flat iron steak with sauteed green beans and mashed potatoes
There were some desserts in there that I can’t remember: the food was that good. The Hennepin was truly exceptional, and everything at dinner was among the best I’ve ever had (and my memory is sharp, we spent a lot of time talking about favorite restaurants). The salad and oysters were the best I’ve ever had.
