Excellent set of links. This is my kind of skiing. I wish this sort of thing got more press. This is every bit as wonderful as making some great set of turns.
Since people are naturally drawn to the more extreme and more dramatic aspect of sport, it would be great if the really long tours like the ones mentioned got more publicity. Being able to cover miles and miles of terrain; to reach areas that are difficult to reach because they are so far from civilization is spectacular, and deserves to be treated as such. One of the great things about it is that it is, by and large, a lot safer than skiing steeper slopes.

The stuff of dreams…
Any idea of the distance covered? His other files at Vimeo have some descriptives to provide a sense of scale, but but not this one. Thanks for posting.

Hi- Hope you don’t mind me dropping by. Really enjoyed that. Great tune, video, landscape, skiing. This is what the Nordys had in mind, I think. Transportation with style. She so gracefully shift gears ,adapting to the terrain. Diagonal striide, telemark, side step, skate.
