This one goes out to my mom, who had the presence of mind to snag the last opening at Sperry Chalet for the coming summer.
The chalet is one of two left standing in the Glacier backcountry. Positioned up on a bench at the head of long valley, the views could not be better.
The complex of buildings is usually safe from avalanches, except for that one time a few years ago.
In winter, it’s nice to see the place with no one around. A day like today, totally cloudless and warm in the sun, is quite the treat.
Breath taking.
Wow. Sure looks pretty in her winter coat.
Wish we had a scenery like that in Belgium. Must be great to spend some time there.
Incredible! Blows me away how beautiful the winters are up there.
What a stark contrast from a busy summer day.
amzing landscape!
