Into the sunset
Sunday early we leave to drive back east, visiting family and attending Judith’s wedding (my best friend from HS, now an ass-kicking Yale educated lawyer). Lots to do to get ready. Add.: Best read this. Brings up all kinds of interesting questions about multi-day hiking.

July is now my April
The crack runs in cycles. Last year in Arizona things ramped up in February, and started peaking in late March. In Montana, the deal has been set back four months. But it is still alive. Paunsaugunt Enduro
A while ago I flippantly mentioned that this weekend would constitute retribution for the KMC. I could say that I ought to watch my words, except I wanted it that way. We know what we want, even if we don’t know it. I spent a while talking myself down from the 96 miler, the first…

Brianhead
It was a good day to be above 10,000′. I did Bunker Creek, out and down BC Left, up BC Right. It made for a very scenic, leisurely 2 hour ride. The tourists were out in force, I passed a bunch of very corpulent and haggard young guys, two Japanese guys riding without helmets, packs,…
