Are a success! I’m going to cut a few more fishscales further forward, as I was slipping at the end of my kick, and I have to remember to not tighten the toe straps too much, as that makes wet feet cold fast. But on the whole, this experiment is playing out well.

The ability to link turns at all was quite a surprise. Corn snow made it possible, of course, but I was also wearing a trail runner with virtually no stiffness in the upper. Ought to make sections of the Yellowstone Traverse fun and expedient.
